Would you like to move to Weymouth? This week we’ve got the lowdown on this popular coastal town. Located just 20 miles along the coast from our HQ here in Bridport, Weymouth is one of the gems of the Jurassic coast. Weymouth beach has topped the list of best beach in the UK more than once – and often hits the top ten in Europe too – according to users of travel review website, Trip Advisor. The golden sands and safe shallow waters are coupled with many traditional English seaside pursuits including Punch and Judy and donkey rides during the summer months. There is also an interesting live music and club scene – but what is it like to actually live in Weymouth?

Coastal walk

There are lots of interesting things to see and do in the local area, such as the Sealife Centre, Nothe Fort, stunning countryside and beaches like Durdle Door to visit just along the coast.

Weymouth is primarily a tourist resort, so is much quieter in the winter so if you are seeking hustle and bustle then it is important to bear this in mind and perhaps visit during the quieter months as well as peak season if you are unsure about how you will feel about living in such extremes of busy and quiet. Weymouth is well connected with good road links from the A354 and buses and a railway station that connects with London Waterloo.
